This year, Mike Rutz from WRIR has been kind enough to spend the last few weeks putting together an awesome set for our shop for RSD — a bunch of local DJs and bands that are ready to entertain us all while WE work and YOU shop!  It’s gonna be awesome!  Come party with us and pick up some vinyl!

GOOOOOOD MORNING, RICHMOND.
Literally four days ago we had banger thunderstorms and tornado watches and now snow?! I honestly don’t know what’s going on in this world anymore.
Hello cold world— I’m going to need to wear a hat today. (Paramore reference because I can)

Thank you, Gods of Winter for finally blessing Richmond with snow this year.
I usually don’t like it, but I’m pretty stoked that it’s not 50 degrees out right now. Keep on piling up to delay classes in the morning, regardless of the high being 51 tomorrow.
Amen.

I like where I work. We rule. Also, You’re a little jealous of how awesome and diverse my Top 10 list is.

Wow, Richmond. Now this is just ridiculous.
Severe Thunderstorm watch until 10:00 p.m. It’s December 7th. Unreal.

Celebrity Sighting of the Day: Daniel Day-Lewis was spotted today in Richmond, Virginia’s Arcadia restaurant in character as Abraham Lincoln.
Day-Lewis is set to play the Great Emancipator in a 2012 biopic being directed by Steven Spielberg.
According to one snoop, Day-Lewis has apparently been in character since March, and is so committed to the role that “[h]is real name doesn’t even appear on the call sheet.”

I love that I live in Richmond and that everyone is freaking out about this and I knew about it. Yes I know, I’m being smug. I’m not sorry.
Consider Richmond, VA for your Oscar of BEST CITY.

That’s us! More importantly that’s me on the left. It’s a small write up but it feels good to see my face in a magazine. (excuse my narcissism)
Despite the excitement for myself, I’m honestly more excited for the band as a whole. I hope that this brings people out to see how great we are! I knew that once we got a show at a RVA music staple like “The Camel” good things would come.
I’ve been pushing it off due to my own self promotion, but I promise to post more about the other bands playing next Monday. Thanks again and go pick up a copy of Style Weekly to see what else is going on in the city we love.
Ad Nauseum,
Westfall

Guys! This is my boyfriend’s band! Check them out online on Bookface and if you live in Richmond, come out to The Camel! I’ll be there. We can hang out or something and pretend to be hipsters.

Why am I not as fashionable as the rest of the Richmond ladies? Guess I’ll be awkward forever in my holey Keds and old New Found Glory tees. Que lastima.

Fresh Those Manic Seas CD’s just came in! Only $3! Still can’t get over how well the artwork turned out! Don’t forget if you want one, come to Studio 8 West for our CD release show this Saturday September 24th.

My sweet little boyfriend has joined his best friend and roommate’s band, Those Manic Seas recently. Even though he isn’t playing bass on the record, he’s a major part of this band now. I’m so proud of Dan, Curtis, and Chris for finally getting this out. After pining for years to date a man in a band, it finally has come true and I didn’t have to “pimp” myself at a show for it to happen. Love you, Chris. You guys will totally dominate.
Ps, buy this EP!
